Léon Augustin Lhermitte (French pronunciation:[leɔ̃oɡystɛ̃lɛʁmit]; 31 July 1844 – 28 July 1925) was a French naturalistpainter and etcher whose primary subject matter was rural scenes depicting peasants belittling work.
